March 25, 2020
Dear customers and employees,
To comply with the government announcement made on March 24th, Maibec has decided to shut down its manufacturing operations in Quebec until April 14, 2020.
The March 24, 2020 press release from Quebec’s Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks states that businesses working in non-priority services or activities, such as the panelling, secondary wood processing (using milled wood), peeling, plywood and shingles industry must remain closed from midnight on Wednesday, March 25 until April 13, 2020.
During this time, we will keep a minimum of administrative and support staff to ensure the shipment of orders that are ready for customers and to prepare for our return to normal activities. Rest assured that we are complying with all necessary hygiene and social distancing measures to help end this pandemic.
All reception of goods are being interrupted during shut down.
We will continue to process siding and sample orders; however, our reduced operations may result in longer than usual delivery times. Be sure to place your orders as they come in to ensure timely delivery once we resume activities.
With the exception of Balmoral, all of our plants are now shut down. Our Quebec plants will resume operations on April 14th. Our Stoughton plant should restart on April 7th at 12:00 p.m.
Stay safe; we will get through this TOGETHER.
Thank you for your understanding,
The Maibec team
